We will hand over a Car to a single mother
Issue:
Sr. has reached out to Uplift You team regarding her problem with transportation expenses. She was paying approximately $500 monthly on Uber/Lyft rides travelling back and forth between work and her home. As a result, she was having difficulty maintaining her household expenses.
Issue:
Since Sr. is a working mother with 3 children struggling to make ends meet without her husband, who passed away in 2019. UpLift You advised her to get her driver license so that she can avoid taking Uber/Lyft and we can provide her with a car. Sr herself agreed to contribute $2000 and with remaining collection coming from dmv tri-series cricket tournament 2022 and collection coming from some generous sponsors and other donors we collected total $5500 to be able to purchase a car for her. Thank you to implementation partner BDesh Foundation for your help with paperworks and everyone behind the scene to make this possible for the sister in our community living in Virginia, USA. Today, she is able to save about $500 and got the freedom to drive her kids to school & other places.
